Zeljko to sing in Serbian in Baku


Today at 18.30 CET Zeljko Joksimovic the 2012 Serbian representative met the press and media at a special press conference and meet and greet press event at the RTS headquarters in Belgrade. The Serbian singer announced that he will sing the Serbian version of his Eurovision entry Nije Ljubav Stvar in Baku, keeping to the tradition of Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest of singing in its native language. We must note that Serbia's best placings at Europe's favourite television show have been with Serbian songs (2nd in 2004, Ist in 2007 and 6th in 2008).

Today Zeljko got the chance to mix and mingle with the press and was able to share his thoughts about his forthcoming Eurovision participation. He is happy and honoured to represent Serbia yet again at the Eurovision Song Contest, having already experienced it as singer, composer and presenter already. This will be 4th time or shall we say 5th time Zeljko will be involved at the Eurovision Song Contest. He represented Serbia in 2004, composed the Bosnian entry in 2006, composed the Serbian entry in 2008 and hosted the contest in 2008 at home in Belgrade

Valentina Monetta For San Marino


SMTV the Sammarinese national broadcaster has announced today in a press conference that Valentina Monetta will be representing San Marino at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. Valentina hails from San Marino and has a passion for jazz music. The Sammerinese entry and videoclip will be premiered on Friday the 16th at 21.40 in a special show aired on SMTV.
SMTV, the Sammarinese broadcaster has informed esctoday that they are proud and honoured that Valentina Monetta will represent San Marino at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Valentina is a talented artist, perfect for the song that will be presented on Friday the 16th of March at 21.40 CET via a live wesbcast on the official Eurovision Song Contest website and on SMTV's official website (www.smtvsanmarino.sm).

Eurovision Moldova 2012 Pasha Parfeny Lautar


Lautar de Pasha Parfeny representará a Moldavia en el Festival de Eurovisión 2012 despues de ganar el O Melodi Pentru Europa 2012, la preselección del país para el certamen. La gala ha sido emitida desde los estudios del canal TRM en Chisinau a partir de las 18:30 CET. Moldavia participará en la primera semifinal del certamen de la UER el próximo martes 22 de mayo en Bakú, Azerbaiyán.

La gran final del O Melodie Pentru Europa ha estado formada por veintiún participantes. Un sistema de votación mixto de jurado y televoto ha sido el encargado de decidir el ganador. Pasha Parfeny con Lautar ha logrado la victoria en su tercer intento gracias a 12 puntos del jurado y 10 puntos del televoto. Fight for love de Cristina Croitoriu obtuvo la máxima puntuación de los espectadores pero solo cuatro puntos de los expertos. Pasha Parfeny, el solista masculino más exitoso de los últimos tiempos en el país, ha conseguido por fin representar a Moldavia en el Festival de Eurovisión tras el segundo y tercer puesto conseguido en las finales nacionales de los dos años precedentes.

Geta Burlacu con A century of love fue la representante de Moldavia en el Festival de Eurovisión 2008. La intérprete ha participado asimismo en el O Melodie Pentru Europa 2006. Cristina Croitoriu en los años 2009, 2010 y 2011, Doinita Gherman, Mariana Mihaila, Nicoleta Gavrilita y el ya mencionado Pasha Parfeny en 2010 y 2011, M-Studio y Ruslan Taranu en 2011, Anna Gulko, Alexandru Manciu e Irina Tarasiuc en 2010 y Adrian Ursu en 2005 también han formado parte de anteriores preselecciones del país para el certamen.

Eurovision Romania 2012 Zaleilah Mandinga,


Aunque la opción favorita del jurado profesional era Sun-ta de Electric Fence que obtuvo el primer puesto, el grupo Mandiga se ha proclamado vencedor de la preselección rumana, al obtener la segunda posición en las preferencias del jurado y la primera en el televoto.

La canción que representará a Rumania en la próxima edición del Festival de Eurovisión, ha sido interpretada en español e inglés por el grupo ganador.

La gala Selectia Nationalta 2012 ha sido emitida desde los estudios del canal TVR en Bucarest con las actuaciones especiales de Anggun, Jedward y Hotel FM. Rumanía participará en la primera semifinal del certamen de la UER el próximo martes 22 de mayo en Bakú, Azerbaiyán.

La gran final del Selectia Nationala estaba formada por quince participantes: Ana Mardare con dos candidaturas, Bianca Purcarea, Catalin Josan, Electric Fence, Ioana Bianca Anuta, Lucian Oros, Mandinga, Miss Mary, Ovidiu Anton, Raluca Ocneanu, RPK, Tasha, T&L, Viky Red. Un sistema de votación mixto de jurado y televoto será el encargado de decidir el ganador.

Zaleilah de Mandinga con un 74.6% de los votos era la candidatura favorita para la victoria según los lectores de eurovision-spain.com

Catalin Josan en los años 2008, 2009 y 2010, Ovidiu Anton como miembro del grupo Pasager en 2010, Ana Mardare en 2008 y Mandinga en 2005 han participado previamente en anteriores ediciones del Selectia Nationala.
