Izabo time Israel Esc 2012

The Israeli entry to the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Time by the band Izabo has been leaked to the net and uploaded to Youtube.

The song Time was written by Ran Shem-Tov and Shiri Hadar, two of Izabo's members. The song is scheduled to be officially presented on March 1st in a special event in Tel-Aviv. Despite that, a video on Youtube leaked today by who claim to be the band's fan, with the Israeli entry to the Eurovision Song Contest

Alena Lankaya To baku For Belarus

Alena Lanskaya has won the golden ticket to Baku and will have the honour of flying the Belarussian flag in Azerbaijan next May. Belarus will be competing in the 2nd Eurovison Song Contest Semifinal on the 24th of May.

Sanremo Festival 2012

The most prestigious festival in Italy kicks-off tonight. The first night of 62nd edition of the Sanremo Festival will take place in the Ariston theatre. The Eurovision Song Contest inherited the concept of Sanremo as Italy will participate again in Europe's favourite show to be held in Baku.
The show

In the first show the fourteen artists who are competing in the established category will perform their songs, of which two will be eliminated by the jury. The popular extravaganza show will be once again hosted by Gianni Morandi. Rocco Papaleo and Ivana Mrazova will join Morandi as hosts of this year’s Sanremo but for the first night along with Morandi there will be last year’s co-presenters Luca and Paolo.

The festival is spread on five days as all artists will perform live and will be accompanied by a live orchestra. Francesco Renga, who won Sanremo in 2005 is amongst the finalists. The line-up includes Matia Bazar (ESC 1979), Lucio Dalla, Gigi d’Alessio and Loredana Berté who are very popular in Italy.

Pastora soler presenta sus canciones

Una vez conocida la artista que va a representar a España en Eurovisión 2012, Pastora Soler, la única incógnita que quedaba por despejar era el tema que interpretará en Bakú el 26 de mayo.

TVE ha optado por un sistema en el que el público y un jurado escogerán la canción que cantará la artista sevillana en Azerbaiyán. Será en una gala especial que emitirá la cadena el próximo sábado 3 de marzo y en la que Pastora Soler interpretará tres temas de diferente estilo musical en los que la artista podrá demostrar su versatilidad.

Pastora Soler y su equipo ya tienen claros dos de los temas que veremos en la gala. En cuanto a la tercera canción, serán los usuarios de RTVE.es los que decidan el tercer tema que interpretará Pastora Soler el 3 de marzo.

Hoy miércoles 15 de febrero a las 12.00 horas se dara a conocer en la web oficial de Eurovisión 2012 todas las canciones: las que ya ha seleccionado Pastora y otros dos temas entre los que podrá escoger el público.

Cada usuario podrá votar una única vez su canción preferida hasta el lunes 20 de febrero a las 12 horas. El mismo lunes daremos a conocer las canciones finalistas que veremos en la gala.

Eurofest Final Belarus 2012

Koldun the 2007 Belarussian representative gave a press conference today at at the Minsk Sports Arena in Minsk. He will performing tonight at the 2012 Eurofest final. During the press conference he shared his thoughts and experiences since his Eurovision experience in 2007. Koldun represented Belarus at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Work Your Magic, achieving the country's best Eurovision result ever, placing 6th.
BTRC has informed that during the press conference Koldun was asked if his life and career had changed since his 2007 Eurovision experience. He replied that nothing has changed since then for him, everything has been good and smooth. Currently he is working on his 2nd album and is planning to come back to Belarus soon.

He was also asked if he would give Eurovision another shot, to this the Belarussian star said that in today's day many singers don't understand what they want to get or achieve from the Eurovision Song Contest. He went on to mention that he thinks that everyone who competes in the contest should work hard in order to achieve a good result. He said if he comes across a good project and the time is right he would go ahead and take another shot at the contest. Hence he would go for gold in his quest to improve his current Eurovision result.

Greta and Jonsi Eurovision Iceland 2012

Greta Salome & Jonsi are the 2012 Icelandic representatives. The duo was selected by a combination of jury voting and televoting at a 50% stake. In Baku they will perform the song Mundu eftir mer.
Jonsi already represented Iceland in 2004 with the song Heaven. This year he will be in a duet with Greta and sing their moving ballad Mundu eftir mer. Blar Opal came second with the song Stattu upp. The Icelandic selection better known as Songvakeppni Sjonvarpsins took place in Reykyavik and it presented seven acts.

The final took place following three semi-final shows as Hera Bjork opened tonight’s show with a mix of the 2007 and 1988 Eurovision winning songs. Iceland will compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest scheduled for 22nd May.
