Lucia perez Gana Destino Düsseldorf


Spain has decided - Lucía Pérez will represent the Iberian country in Düsseldorf with the song Que me quiten lo bailao. A total of three performers competed tonight, singing three songs each.
Nine songs were performed in total in the Spanish final for Eurovision 2011. The jury chose one song for each participant to proceed to the superfinal. Eventually, the Spanish audience have decided that Lucía Pérez will fly the Spanish flag in May in Düsseldorf, Germany. Que me quiten lo bailao has been composed by Rafael Artesero, the man behind the 2005 and 2006 Andorran entries.

Lucía was born in Lugo 25 years ago. She started her singing career when she was a little girl, in musical tv shows and festivals. In 2006, she represented Spain in the Viña del Mar festival (Chile), ending up on the second position. She participated again in 2009. So far, she has released four CDs, the last of them sung entirely in Galician.
